Thomas has been in practice for in excess of 25 years, over 12 years as a senior partner in one of the largest law firms in Cyprus and the last 7 years as partner in Keane Vgenopoulou & Associates LLC. Thomas’ practice covers a wide range of corporate transactions across all sectors, including energy and oil & gas, in particular corporate advice, corporate finance, reorganizations, insolvency & recovery, capital markets, financial services, EU, M&A, competition, taxation, and dispute resolution. Thomas has acted on a large number of M&As and joint ventures both within Cyprus and elsewhere such as Russia, the CIS, US and EU jurisdictions. He acted on the first cross border merger in Cyprus under the EU cross border merger directive, and has acted in many M&As in Cyprus under the Cyprus Company Law reorganization rules.

He is also recognized as a leading corporate counsel with capacity to advise on all matters of Cyprus corporate and commercial law across all sectors.

Thomas also has experience with drafting legislation for regulators, Government departments and public bodies in many areas, including investment funds.

He is a regular speaker at international conferences and has published many articles in leading legal periodicals.
